ECI to discuss remote electronic voter machine, not polls with political parties tomorrow 1/14/2023 11:32:34 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: Although political parties of Jammu and Kashmir are over enthusiastic over a meeting called by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday, this much-publicized meeting has nothing special about the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Leaders of political parties are thinking that the meeting has been called by ECI to discuss the next assembly elections in J&K but the meeting is convened only to demonstrate the functioning of the multi-constituency prototype Remote Voting Machine. The ECI has developed a remote electronic voter machine (RVM) with migrant voters in mind.
