Srinagar, Jan 15: Released from detention, some of the senior politicians of Kashmir, who otherwise used to be adverse to abrogation of the special status of J&K and had threatened of major protests, are now willing to quietly resume their political activities.
While in the latest, atleast four politicians were released from house arrest on January 3, some others who were in detention have also been released.
Sources said most such faces have conveyed it to their aides that they would resume normal political activities in their respective constituencies to look into the civic problems as faced by the people and that they would not utter a word against the abrogation of the special status.
A close aide of a senior politician from KhanSahib Budgam told Early Times that “Neta Ji is willing to resume political activities.”
“Detention proved a blessing as he is no more that arrogant nor talks anything anti-national. He is a changed man who wants to work like a true nationalist Indian politician,” said his aide on the condition of anonymity.
