Gupkar becomes one-way street?
To save himself from people’s wrath, Omar disables replies on twitter
10/15/2020 12:28:12 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 14: National Conference vice-president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister has discovered a novel way to save himself from getting trolled on twitter. He has simply disabled the replies on his account, turning his social media usage into a one way traffic. Omar’s such an action has led many to believe that he doesn’t want the world to see how badly he is trolled every time he says anything bizarre on twitter. The last time he had the replies section enabled was on September 23 this year. Since then he has disabled it completely and turned it into a one way street. Pertinently, in May this year, Twitter introduced new conversation controls for tweets on May 21, where users can limit replies to a tweet to people they have tagged in a tweet, or people they follow. This way, if a user doesn’t tag anyone in a tweet, and limits replies to only tagged people, no one will be able to reply to that particular tweet. The company said in a blog post that this feature is just a test, and did not commit to rolling it out widely. This comes a few weeks ...
