19 year old labourer dies, 5 injured

Early Times Report Udhampur, Oct 20 19 Year old labourer was killed while five other labourers hailing from Doda and Ramban districts sustained injuries when as under construction double story shop collapsed in the Johnu -Barta area 25 Km away from the district head quarter late evening today. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udhampur-Rayees Bhat confirmed lintel was laying by the labourers in the under construction shops at Johnu Barta and suddenly shuttering fell down and whole building collapse resulting workers engaged in the work fallen victim of it. After getting the information, Police as well locals and Army started rescue operation and inform the police who arrived and JCB was deployed in the operation. Police said thar six injured persons were referred to District Hospital Udhampur and during treatment one of the injured succumbed. The deceased has been identified as Tanveer (19) son of Mushtaq resident of Batote.
