Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 29: Amid the failing separatist politics in Kashmir, militancy in the region too seems to be on its last leg with youth lured to tread the violent path also understating the dreadful game plans and preferring to surrender instead of losing lives for nothing. This year it was after decades of active militancy in Kashmir valley that militants have begun surrendering themselves along with their armoury. The trend has signified a larger change in region’s overall dynamics of pak-sponsored terrorism and separatist politics. It hints at the beginning of an end of three decade long Pak sponsored militancy in Kashmir. “This year so far eight surrenders took place in live encounters in the Valley of which five militants surrendered in the month of October alone,” Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar told reporters in Srinagar on October28. Early times Report Srinagar, Oct 29: Restive Kashmir has come under scanner for alleged human trafficking following recovery of girl hailing the North East from a bungalow in Srinagar here. Sources said the Jammu and Kashmir Police have filed a complaint and arrested a few persons in connection with the complaint of illegal confinement of the said girl. Sources said after filing of a case at a police station in Srinagar a police team raided the place where the girl was kept captive.
