Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 18: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reaching out to people directly has made a huge difference. Sources told Early Times that LG Sinha has taken a strong note of bureaucrats “misleading” him. “Recently he announced a one time, 2-year age relaxation for the aspirants of Sub Inspector post. LG Sinha met the aspirants personally and took the call,” they added. Sinha, according to the sources, has told the officials in clear terms that their job is to serve the people and not to make things difficult for them. “Bureaucrats remaining inaccessible had led to people getting annoyed and them losing faith over the system,” they added. It’s in place to mention here that BJP leaders on many occasions had expressed dismay over the functioning of bureaucrats. “The government is not being run by our party but the bureaucrats. We have no role to play,” BJP leaders had said on many occasions. J&K records 223 new cases, 2 deaths

Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 18: Jammu and Kashmir reported 223 fresh covid-19 cases while two persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday. Among the fresh cases, 32 were reported from Jammu Division and 191 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 334823. There were two deaths, one each from the Jammu and Kashmir divisions, due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4459—2182 in Jammu and 2277 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said. Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 18: Amid outcry, authorities on Thursday exhumed bodies of two residents—Mohammad Altaf Bhat and Dr Mudassir Gul—from a graveyard at Wadder Zachaldara Handwara where they were buried along with two other persons who were killed in the ‘encounter’ at Hyderpora here on Monday.
