Centre may approve bills to withdraw farm laws on Wednesday: Report

Agencies New Delhi, Nov 21: The Union Cabinet is likely to take up for approval on Wednesday the bills to withdraw the three farm laws, sources in the government said. These bills shall then be introduced in the forthcoming session of Parliament, they added. On the occasion of Gurpurab, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced the government’s intention to withdraw the laws in the interest of the nation. The winter session of Parliament starts on November 29. Demanding the withdrawal of the laws, agitating farmers have been sitting at three sites on Delhi’s borders since November last year. COVID-19: Jammu reports 23 new cases, Kashmir 142

Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 21: The Government today informed that 165 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 23 from Jammu division and 142 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 335368. Moreover, 160 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 21from Jammu Division and 139 from Kashmir Division. Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 21: Fog engulfed the picturesque Kashmir Valley on Sunday, disrupting normal life, while Drass in the Union territory of Ladakh froze at minus 12.0 degrees Celsius. Night temperatures further intensified at most places in Kashmir and Ladakh, however, there was a slight improvement in Srinagar, where minimum temperature was recorded at minus 1.3 degrees Celsius against minus 1.5 degrees Celsius the previous day.
