Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 26: Contrary to the tall claims of the founders of the much talked about Gupkar Alliance, leaders of this amalgam are fighting against each other in the District Development Councils (DDCs) elections. Despite announcement of ‘seat adjustment’ with Gupkar Alliance, Congress leaders are fighting elections against amalgam candidates at several places, thus making alliance as ‘farce’. Former Minister and Congress stalwart, Taj Mohi-ud-Din is fighting election from Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district against the Gupkar Alliance candidate. Same is the situation in some other areas of the Valley where Congress is the main rival of either PDP or NC. Similarly in Rajouri, all constituents of Gupkar Alliance have decided to field their candidates. Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 26: The Government on Thursday informed that 487 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 232 from Jammu division and 255 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 108306. Also 05 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 02 from Jammu division and 03 from Kashmir Division. Agencies New Delhi, Nov 26: Citing “the security scenario”, the Ministry of Home Affairs has informed Lok Sabha that it will not be able to disclose information relating to suspension of telecom and Internet services in Jammu & Kashmir. In a letter Wednesday to Lok Sabha Secretary General Snehlata Shrivastava, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla said, “considering the security scenario in UT of Jammu & Kashmir, disclosure of information relating to suspension of telecom services would be prejudicial to the safety or interest of the state”.
