JeI encroached Govt land, created 188 properties worth thousands of crores

Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 26: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) has identified as many as 188 properties of banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) across UT of J&K which will be seized through a course of action. As of now, 20 properties of JeI have been seized by the authorities. While nine properties including a school building were sealed on November 10 in the Shopian district, eleven properties of JeI were seized today in the Anantnag district. At least eleven properties, worth crores, belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami have been notified and subsequently confiscated by District Magistrate Anantnag after a recommendation was made to the court by State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday. “Today in District Anantnag properties at eleven locations worth more than 90.00 crores INR after being notified by DM Anantnag on the recommendation of SIA J&K have been barred with restrictions on usage and entry”, said an SIA spokesperson in a statement. Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 26: Continuing the crackdown on banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), the authorities have initiated the process to seize eleven properties belonging to the group in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The properties worth crores were notified by District Magistrate Anantnag and have been barred with restrictions on usage and entry on the recommendation of Jammu and Kashmir's Special Investigation Agency- which has been probing a case registered in Police Station Batamaloo against the group. Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 26: An attempt by Pakistan to supply arms and money to terrorists was foiled by Samba Police by timely recovery but the recovery of consignment just near the highly sensitive Jammu-Pathankot national highway is a matter of worry for forces. The consignment dropped by Pakistani drones was recovered from the village Badali near Swankha Morh in Vijaypur Sub-Division.
