Was PDP leader in contact with Lashkar militants? NIA wants to know
11/29/2020 11:24:10 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 29: Even as a senior Peoples Democratic Party leader, recently arrested by the National Investigation Agency, has been put to fifteen-day remand, the NIA is probing if he was in contact with dreaded Lashkar militants and that if he was “helping them.” Official sources said while the PDP leader was arrested in a case linked to Hizb militants, he may have also been in touch the Lashkar. Sources said the NIA has inputs that he was in “direct touch” with the Lashkar militants, particularly in south Kashmir and could have been using the contacts for some “political gains” even when then Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti was in power. Sources said his possible contacts with the militant groups were already under radar for long. Sources said the NIA has been in touch with the Jammu and Kashmir Police to know why his security was withdrawn in February 2019. Sources said the NIA has credible evidence that he was in touch with militants and that it was the possible reason as to why his security was withdrawn that time. The NIA recently arrested the PD...

In Srinagar, even the rental accommodation f...
