Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 11: Even as thousands of degree-holding graduates and post graduates are jobless in this newly established Union Territory, the Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to have matric pass clerks, a move that will hit the employment prospects of the well-educated youth who are struggling to be employed in such sectors. The Early Times has accessed official documents that suggest that the government has decided to promote matric pass peons and other Class IV employees as Junior Assistants in various departments. Official sources said the decision to elevate such matric pass employees will be in place by December 15, 2019 by when the public notifications in this regard are supposed to be released. The decision has drawn strict criticism from a section of officials who look at it as a "negative development that will be injustice with the well educated youth."
