Kashmir centric parties join hands to keep Jammu, Ladakh at bay
12/8/2018 10:57:34 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 8: Kashmir centric parties after losing power have started showing their true colours, both National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party are demanding that Jammu and Kashmir should be divided on communal lines. PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has demanded divisional autonomy for Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and other districts which fall beyond Jawahar tunnel. On the other hand National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has said that if his party is voted to power, it will grant autonomy to various regions of the state. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Both these parties want to hijack the regions where the population of the members of a particular community is on the higher side and want to leave Jammu and Ladakh regions out. This is a sinister plan aimed at pitting one community against another. Both these parties are trying to divide the people on religious lines to secure more votes in the forthcoming Assembly and Parliament elections." He said, "Both the parties seem to have entered into a covert allianc...

A day after former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti gave warning to the Governor's administration against granting divisional status to Ladakh, Congress also issued statement on similar lines. Interestingly this statement has been issued without mentioning name o...
