BJP unhappy with timing of CM's appeal for dialogue with Pak
2/15/2018 11:31:55 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 15: The BJP has expressed concern over the timing of the statement made by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti asking both India and Pakistan to start dialogue. It was made explicitly clear by the Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman after Sunjwan terror attack that Pakistan will have to pay for its misadventure. According to the sources, the BJP high command is of the view that since the CM had made these statements many times before and even during the ongoing Budget session, she should have refrained from making the statement when the operation was on in the Sunjuwan and army had suffered huge losses. "The army was suffering losses, the tempers were running high and the nation's mood was of taking revenge. So how could she in such a surcharged atmosphere speak about conciliation? We can understand that she has constituency to address where Pakistan is an important factor and Pakistan bashing will only hurt her politically but her timing was not right and we have communicated the same to her," said a senior BJP leader. The sources said that Defence...

The general view among the BJP supporters in and outside J&K is that "the alliance is a move to win the election and the ideology of nationalism has been put aside to further political purposes". Significantly, the BJP had faced similar crit...
