Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) has shown dismal performance with merely 17 percent of the trained professionals of Jammu and Kashmir have got the jobs in the last financial year. According to the details available with Early Times for the financial year 2018-19, a total of 4283 youth were imparted training under the DDU-GKY but out of these trained youth merely 631 had got jobs. It account for merely 14 percent of the trained youth for the financial year. Moreover for the financial year 2019-20, a total of 7083 youth were imparted training under the DDU-GKY scheme bout till the ending of December 2019, merely 1203 had got placement orders.
