Covid19: Budgam admin under scanner for ‘mismanagement’ at Srinagar airport

Early Times Report Srinagar, Mar 27: Amid reports of some of the passengers, who flew into Kashmir having been allowed to go home freely without requisite medical examination or quarantine, the administration especially that of Budgam has come under the scanner for the alleged dereliction of duties. Sources said in the last few days, there have been numerous instances when some “influential Kashmiri people”, who flew into the valley, were allowed to move out of the airport without any mandatory clearance. In a shocking incident, a patient with coronavirus infection who had come from Saudi Arabia was allowed to go home in Srinagar instead of having been sent to hospital. In another case, a student who had come from Bangladesh was allowed to go home whereas other students from the same group were taken to a government quarantine facility. In another such case, some of the students who had come from outside India showed fake identify proof and managed to skip getting quarantined.
