Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 4: A Cooperative Marketing Society in district Kathua has been misusing the funds meant for farmers' welfare on extending undue facilities for the office bearers. In a glaring misappropriation, a luxurious "Innova Crysta" was purchased purportedly for commercial purpose but is being put to personal use by officer bearers. According to sources a renowned advocate of Kathua had lodged a written complaint with Advisor to Governor KA Ganai in December 2018 alleging that Chairman along with other members of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Society had purchased an "Innova Crysta", costing Rs. 22 Lakhs. "This luxurious car was purportedly purchased for commercial purposes but so far has been utilized by the Chairman for his personal use", the complaint read, alleging further that even the shops of the Cooperative Society had been allotted to blue-eyed persons, without any open tendering. "Usually the allotment cost of a shop is nearly Rs. 32 lakhs but the BOD allocated same for Rs. 22 Lakhs to their blue eyed by bribing higher officials. "In th...
