Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 17: The rape and murder case of an eight old nomad girl in Kathua district has shocked the entire Jammu region. Everyone is demanding that the perpetrators should be punished. People of Kathua district took to the streets demanding that case should be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation for the probe. But their demand was turned down and no stone was left unturned to give a communal colour to the incident. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Not many people have faith in police and in the past many states have handed over such cases to CBI for the probe. But unfortunately J&K government remained adamant on its stand and did not handover the case to the CBI." While recalling the case of the custodial death of a key accused in the brutal rape and murder of a school girl in Kotkhai in Shimla district on July 4, 2017, he said the CBI arrested eight Himachal Pradesh policemen, including an inspector general.
