2 former PDP ministers under scanner in JKPCC scams

Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 3: Even as the government has called for a probe into the bungling at the Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation, two of the ministers who were from the Peoples Democratic Party have allegedly come under scanner. Sources said the government had inputs that the ministers both of whom were "calling the shots in the previous regime" have been accused of facilitating "record breaking corruption in which crores of rupees must have been paid as kickback." Sources said both the ministers are accused of having resorted to allegedly unfair means to benefit mainly their nears and dears in bagging "jobs, promotions and contracts worth millions of rupees." Sources said some of the works executed in Srinagar, Baramulla and south Kashmir districts have been found to be in gross violation of code of conduct as laid down in the JKPCC. Sources in the Drugs Department ISM told Early Times that, 8 drugs, their samples taken from government-run ISM stores and markets, have been found to be "not of standard quality" by the drug authorities.
