Early Times Report Srinagar, May 14: Amid complaints of procurement of “fake PPEs” from a local vendor, a government hospital in Srinagar has come under the scanner for elevating an “influential” doctor as the head for making deals for Covid19 related procurements. Sources said the doctor, who was appointed by the previous Peoples Democratic Party led government through alleged favoritism is now the favorite with the head of the hospital in Bemina locality here and that the two are in touch with some “friendly “ dealers for procurement of the COVID19 related items worth millions. Sources said the allegedly influential doctor who has done is MBBS from Russia has been calling the shots in the hospitals given his close affinity with the hospital bosses. On April 29, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that it has issued an order to state and Union Territories to facilitate inter-state movement of stranded people including migrant labourers in the country. Jehangir Rashid Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 14: The union territory of Jammu & Kashmir saw some relief in the Corona Virus cases as mere 12 cases were reported today from some of the districts. There is some encouraging news on the recovery front as well since around 50 percent COVID-19 patients have recovered so far. Reports said that out of the 12 cases reported today five came up from Srinagar district, Ramban three cases, Shopian two cases and Pulwama and Udhampur districts reporting one case each.
