Jammu gets Rs 460 cr less than Kashmir for Ring Road project
Bias in PM's package too!
5/20/2018 12:21:13 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, May 19: Amid the fanfare the projects of ring road in Jammu and Srinagar were inaugurated on Saturday by Prime Minister Modi, but what the state government has tried to undermine is that fact that discrimination was once again adopted with Jammu region, with Kashmir valley sanctioned Rs 460 crores more than Jammu. Modi on November 7, 2015 announced a whopping economic package of Rs 80,000 cr for various developmental projects in the state. However, the work on most of the projects is either going on at a snail's pace or is in limbo due to the reasons best known to the R&B ministry of the state. As per the official documents in possession of Early Times, out of the Rs 80,000 cr package of the Prime Minister, an estimated Rs 42,668 cr was kept for R&B projects in the state. Out of the sum, Rs 2700 cr was kept for Bharat Mala project. The projects in the state were proposed to be taken up under Bharat Mala for length of about 105 kms covered under tourist connectivity. As per the documents, out of the Rs 80K crore package, the government had claimed last...

5/20/2018 12:20:51 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, May 19: The announcement of unilateral ceasefire during the holy month of Ramzan by the central government has no bearing on the actions of the stone pelters in Kashmir Valley. On the second day of the holy month of Ramzan on Friday, the stone pelters again did what they are notorious for: pelting stones on security forces, thereby denouncing the unilateral ceasefire call of the central government. Responding to the protest call of the separatists to express solid...

5/20/2018 12:20:24 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, May 19: The people of Jammu were hoping that Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Mata Vaishno Devi and RS Pura would address the issues facing the alienated people of Jammu, but, sadly, it didn't happen. He didn't speak even on one issue facing by them. The people of Jammu had several demands, but their immediate demands were five. One, they wanted the Prime Minister to speak on the PDP-BJP alliance and its adverse impact on the people of Jammu. The people of Jammu province never felt so abandoned as they had been feeling since March 1, 2015, when the BJP became part of the state government for the first time. RTI calls for appointment of Public Information Officers (PIO) in each public authority. In majority of the district offices the district officers have been designated as PIOs, but in Poonch district all the district officers (except DFO and ACR) have been designated as Assistant PIOs (APIOs), which means they can't provide information to people under RTI Act as their job is to assist the PIOs whose details are not at all available. Details available with Early Times reveal that official webs...

Government has warned employees several times that their salaries would be stopped if they do not attend offices on strike days. 5/20/2018 12:17:30 AM

The minister was accompanied by officials of Tourism Department, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), J&K Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) and other allied departments.
