Early Times Report Srinagar, May 25: A senior National Conference leader from Kashmir stranded in New Delhi avoided seeking any favor from his party president and former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to travel back home amid lockdown. Sources said the NC leader was stranded in the national capital and like any other Kashmiri he was desirous of getting back home at an earliest but that he avoided taking any favors from Omar Abdullah who could have used his “good offices to facilitate the travel of his colleague at an earliest.” “Apart from having lobbied for the safe travel of his colleague through former spymaster AS Dulat who is close to the Abdullah family, he (Omar) could have utilized the influence of his close relative holding a powerful chair in Rajasthan, but he(NC leader) preferred to stay back stranded in Delhi than seek favor from the NC top brass,” said a source privy to the issue. Early Times Report Jammu, May 25: Several localities in the winter capital Jammu were on Monday declared containment areas or red zones following detection of new coronavirus cases including one death in the last 24 hours, officials said.
