New Admin units face of previous Govt's failure

Peerzada Ummer Early Times Report Srinagar, May 2: The broken promises of the national conference came to fore in terms of the functioning of the new administrative units. As the party tried to lure voters by announcing these units amid paucity of funds in JK, proper functioning of the units remains a distant dream. The much hyped new administrative units have to be run in rented accommodation and the creation of infrastructure is being taken up in a phased manner. Reports received by Early Times this newspaper informed that the newly created administrative units in Jammu and Kashmir are being made functional by way of arranging official accommodation either on rent basis or existing government buildings are being utilized in areas of the state wherein new units have been announced. The previous government had stated that the posting orders of Sub- District Magistrates (SDM) are being issued in the near future. So far no such action seems to have been taken. Early Times Report Budgam, May 2: After the alleged embezzlement of more than Rs 20 lakh under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyaan (NBA) earlier called Total Sanitation Campaign, the Khansahib BDO office in Budgam district is again under scanner as payment amounting to more than Rs 25 lakh has allegedly been drawn in lieu of the works which do not exist on ground.
