Jehangir Rashid Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 13: Strong resentment is brewing among the valley residents against the killing of two police personnel who were posted at the court complex in South Kashmir's Pulwama district. The incident occurred in the wee hours on Tuesday when Muslims across the world had just concluded special prayers on the holy night of Shab-i-Qadr. Militants struck at the court complex and showered bullets on the cops posted there. Due to the firing two cops identified as Ghulam Hassan Chopan and Ghulam Rasool Lone were killed. Hundreds of persons turned up in the funeral procession of the two slain cops at Wohlutra-Panzalla, Rafiabad in Baramulla district and Gagal-Lolab in Kupwara district. Highly emotional scenes were witnessed as both the slain cops were buried. The family members could not control their emotions and they seemed to be at total loss. The people as a whole termed the killings as barbaric and said innocents should not be killed in the name of 'Jihad' (holy war).
