SHC engages ineligible, ignorant persons as Khudam-ul-Hujjaj: Hajj aspirants
6/15/2019 12:25:14 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, June 14: So much deeper has nepotism, partiality and corruption seeped into our system that even the sacred religious pilgrimages do not remain unscathed. Scores of pilgrims have accused the Hajj Committee of employing ill- experienced, blue-eyed and those with political affluences as 'Khudam-ul-Hujjaj'- the guides who assist the pilgrimage in Holy Muslim cities of Mecca and Madina. Khudam as per the aggrieved pilgrims should be well educated, experienced and well versed with the sacred journey. However, the pilgrims say, those selected for the job don't even remember the names of the areas in the holy cities where pilgrims have to perform certain rites. They accuse high end corruption in the entire process by the State Hajj Committee and even demanded probe into the process behind the recruitment of these blue eyed people. A local news gathering agency in Srinagar also reported the news. The agency claimed that the authorities are deputing non-local Hajj trainers (Khudam-ul- Hujaj) for Kashmiri pilgrims. A Hajj trainer is supposed to be a governm...
