TOP STORY OF THE DAY
No place for 'pluralism' in Kashmir
PDP-BJP alliance fails
6/16/2018 11:19:10 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, June 16: The brutal murder of Rising Kashmir Editor Shujaat Bukhari in Srinagar and liquidation of army man Aurangzeb in Shopian on the eve of Eid and during the "holy month of Ramzan" on June 14 once again established that Kashmir has changed and changed to the maximum extent and that the situation has become almost irretrievable. These two murders, coupled with several other similar murders also established beyond any shadow of doubt that the current phase of separatism will destroy whatever is still left of "Kashmiri identity" and make the Kashmir Valley fully ripe for non-secular rule and non-secular laws. This drive, according to keen Kashmir-watchers, "is obviously masterminded by the world's first ISIS, the Islamic State of Pakistan, and the idea will be to make Kashmiris militantly Islamist, where no quarter will be given to pluralism and unity with the rest of India". Pressure from within
6/16/2018 11:18:48 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, June 16: The Narendra Modi-led NDA Government is likely to end unilateral ceasefire or suspension of operations in Jammu & Kashmir post-Eid. This is what the reports emanating from the New Delhi's corridors of power suggest. What has influenced the thinking of the policy-planners in the South and North Blocks in New Delhi are several instances of attacks on unarmed peaceful civilians and army and para-military forces. The murder of journalist Shujaat Bukhari and brutal killing of Army Rifleman Aurangzeb of Poonch in South Kashmir's Shopian have also become two other tipping points. In fact, these two murders have changed the whole scenario. Besides, the Narendra...
