Jammu, July 25: While the opinionated maneuvering on the state's political diasporas have many connotations attached for the upcoming governance led by any party or a combo, yet the currents underlining the scene have many surprises likely to spring up as the process comes to close in Nov-Dec.
Riding the Modi wave after its collateral effect on the national panorama where the BJP hit the bulls eye romping home with a whopping 280+, state cadre toying the idea of 44+ is being gauged through the clinical prism of a political scientist's eye as a mere joke, leave aside the hype and hoopla generated by the party itself .
The reasons are manifold from local issues of the people on ground and their un-satiated aspirations so far, besides the factors ranging from bringing home cross voting offenders back in the fold and welcoming Congress deserter Lal Singh sending anxious churns to the bigwigs.
Behind the veil is being seen an emergence of a front that, despite its sour political connectivity in 2008, is turning sweet with one of the party (People’s Democratic Party) hea...

JAMMU, July 25: The NC, which suffered a massive defeat in the just-held Lok Sabha elections, has, it seems, not learned any lesson from the mistakes it committed during the Lok Sabha election. Later on, Omar Abdullah acknowledged that he and his colleagues committed a grave mistake by converting the whole electoral exercise into secularism vs communalism debate and by not focusing on his Government's "achievements. JAMMU, July 25: After a resounding victory in the last General Elections, the state unit of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) set up 'Mission 44+' for the forthcoming assembly elections hoping that 'Modi magic' would again do wonders for BJP in J&K.
However, if the results of Uttrakhand Assembly by-polls are any 'yard stick' to measure the effect of 'Modi wave', it seems that it is fast vanishing as the BJP has failed to even open its account in three seats it contested in the hill state.
The poor performance of the saffron party in Uttrakhand Assembly by-polls could adversely affect the morale of rank and file of the state BJP and even shake their confidence as it was the sa...
