Early Times Report Jammu, July 25: While annoyed Ghulam Nabi Azad is hesitating to take responsibility as J&K Congress chief, the party high command is in a dilemma over appointing new the party president. After objection by their own group leaders the high command withheld the name of Vakar Rasool as the new party chief. Over two dozen leaders were called to Delhi for discussions to evolve consensus on the name of a candidate to whom responsibility will be given to the J&K Congress chief. Sources said that after holding discussions and deliberations all leaders were asked to go back to J&K and they were assured that name of new president would be conveyed to them within a couple of days. Almost ten days have passed but no decision regarding the new president is taken by the high command. Ghulam Ahmad Mir resigned as PCC chief on July 5 but the party high command has failed to decide the name of the new president due to infighting among various factions. Early Times Report Srinagar, July 25 (UNI) Fresh batches of more than 10,000 yatries proceeded from the twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal to holy cave shrine of Amarnath to pay obeisance there on Monday, officials said. They said 1, 089 pilgrims paid obeisance at the cave shrine till 11 AM today taking the total number of yatries who had paid obeisance at the Amarnath Cave shrine to 2, 64,553 so far since the 43 day long Yatra commenced on June 30. Agencies New Delhi, July 25: The CBI has busted a multi-state racket of imposters and arrested four of them for allegedly attempting to cheat people of Rs 100 crore with false promises of Rajya Sabha seats and governorship, officials said. The agency had conducted searches recently in connection with the case, and four members of the gang were arrested, they said. One of the accused fled during the search operation after assaulting CBI officers, the officials said. Agencies New Delhi, July 25: The three services could recruit a total of 37,301 personnel in the last two years as against an average annual vacancy of 60,000 with the induction process hit by the Covid pandemic, according to details provided by the government on Monday. The number of total recruits in 2019 was 95,843 with the Army topping the list with 81,812 personnel followed by the Indian Air Force(IAF) with 7,548 and the Navy accounting for 6,483 personnel.
