Jammu, Aug 9: In the wake of rising complaints of alleged financial irregularities at the SK Institute of Medical Sciences Soura and its Medical College Hospital Bemina in Srinagar, the Jammu and Kashmir government has passed an order to monitor the expenditure as being made by the SKIMS hospitals on Covid19.

SRINAGAR, Aug 9: As 507 new cases of Corona Virus were reported from the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir today the total number of positive cases in the union territory has reached 24,897. With 13 more deaths the death toll due to virus reached 472.

New Delhi, Aug 9: The Centre is considering bringing in a law to protect the land rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. As per reports, the new law is expected to be enacted in Parliament.
A bill to this effect will be introduced in Parliament as there is no legislature in the newly created Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir because no election was held since the bifurcation of the erstwhile state.
