As per the available data, recently compiled by Ministry of health and family welfare revealed that in 637 sanctioned Primary Health Centres (PHCs), the sanctioned strength of doctors were 1347 but against the sanctioned strength only 694 post are fulfilled and remaining 653 were lying vacant.
