Srinagar, Aug 6: In a major setback to the separatist sentiment, two of the most popular nationalist slogans –Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai reverberated in Kashmir on the first anniversary of the abrogation of the special status of J&K.
While a woman leader of the Bharatiya Janta Party unfurled tricolor in south Kashmir, in the summer capital, the BJP hosted a special program.
At the event held at the BJP head office in Jawahar Nagar locality here, the party leaders ensured chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram.
The event was led by senior BJP leader Altaf Thakur who led by celebrations. The BJP leaders also distributed sweets in the area.

JAMMU, Aug 6: The government after six long years-when floods wreaked havoc in the erstwhile state- has finally woken up for the implementation of the flood management plan costing about 5400 crores to the exchequer.

SRINAGAR, Aug 6: Around 67 percent Corona Virus patients have recovered in the union territory of Jammu even though the cases as well as deaths associated with COVID-19 continue to assume centre stage in the union territory.
