As Omar Abdullah and his ilk were demanding restoration of statehood, threatening that they wouldn’t be contesting polls if the statehood isn’t given back to Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Secretary has subtly hinted that the erstwhile state would continue to remain a Union Territory for now. “Three stages of transition have been going on in J&K.
