JAMMU, Aug 31: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, it seems, holds a grudge against newspapers and journalists. He has been firing salvos on them since last week.
On August 24 he said, People's Democratic Party (PDP) had purchased newspapers. "A PDP leader contesting against NC's Nasir Aslam Wani from Amira Kadal spends most of his time in a newspaper office," Omar said.
Omar said he now reads newspapers for propaganda only. "My eyes ache while reading newspapers," he said adding 'I now have to use spectacles for reading a paper. That was not the case when I entered the Assembly."

Srinagar, Aug 31: A 17 year old girl was allegedly raped by four persons at Bhaderwah in Doda district while she was on her way to pay fee to her tutor.
As per the details available with "Early Times", the victim, a student of 11th class, was allegedly taken into room by the main accused and others where she was allegedly raped. After committing the crime, the accused abandoned the girl who later approached Bhaderwah police station and recorded her statement.
