Cong witnessing “Guru-Chaila” amid leaders deserting party

Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 9: To counter the aggressive campaign launched by Ghulam Nabi Azad to poach leaders from his former party, Congress has deputed the newly appointed J&K Congress committee chief Vikar Rasool Wani. Wani’s name for J&K Congress chief was recommended by Azad because he was considered a staunch supporter of the former Chief Minister. Wani is holding rallies at different places to keep his party’s flock together. After maintaining a guarded silence for a couple of days, Wani launched an offensive against his former mentor. Wani has accused Ghulam Nabi Azad of playing “immoral politics” Wani, who was always seen as being close to Azad in the J&K Congress, said betraying the Congress after 50 years was playing immoral politics. He accused Azad of never giving him any idea about parting ways with Congress. Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 9: Deployed for the security of devotees during Shab-e-Qadr, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) was stripped and stoned to death in full public view outside Srinagar mosque in June 2017 by an unruly mob but those involved in this heinous crime were released on bail due to lack of evidence. A court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) granted bail to 17 persons allegedly involved in the lynching of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) outside Jamia Masjid at Srinagar in 2017. Early Times Report Srinagar, Sept 9: In a major breakthrough -exposing the new modus operandi of the car lifters operating in Jammu and Kashmir, the JK Police have discovered that such target vehicles are instantly disassembled for resale in the “grey markets.” Officials said the matter got exposed after police received the complaint of Tata Sumo vehicle having being stolen from Zadibal area of Srinagar and was recovered “fully dismantled two days later.” Sources said the vehicle was stolen on September 7 and the owner had filed a complaint at the nearby Police Station.
