"Our names are deleted from voters' lists, this is constitutional lynching': Kashmiri Hindus
9/15/2018 10:59:45 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 15: Internally-displaced Kashmiri Hindus are up in arms. The reason: As per the recently published electoral rolls, names of at least 1 lakh displaced Kashmiri Hindu refugees living in Jammu since their migration in 1990 have been deleted from the existing rolls and the same have been added in the voters' lists of different constituencies in Kashmir valley. The community leaders and organizations have termed the deletion of the names of members of their community "constitutional lynching". "We are at the receiving end under BJP rule in the state and it is a sorry state of affair where we have been deprived of our voting rights", said many Kashmiri Hindu leaders representing different organizations on Friday.
