SVC busy reprimanding deptts; Official 'thugs' plundering state, making merry 9/23/2016 11:24:18 PM Syed Junaid Hashmi Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 23: State Vigilance Commission (SVC) claims of working too hard to put an end to the menace of corruption in Jammu and Kashmir but it seems that certain top thugs and cheats are yet to come under its scanner. Those who are still running the transfer industry and those who have already benefitted heavily from this murky business have neither been touched nor have ever been questioned for having turned overnight rich. Though some action was taken against an aide of Ex-Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand but aides and advisors of other ex-ministers who have of late become new VVIPs of Jammu and Kashmir are yet to be questioned. The CVC may have some genuine reasons for not picking up these thugs and questioning them for their acts of omission and commission but it is largely believed that they have connection in the higher echelons of power because of which they are not being touched.
