| Uncertainty over Ram Madhav’s role in J&K, Ladakh | | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 27: BJP has changed its points-man of the erstwhile state of J&K reportedly due to ‘mishandling’ of Ladakh affairs where party is facing anger of the people.
BJP’s outgoing general secretary Ram Madhav, who was handling the erstwhile State of J&K, has reportedly failed to handle the sensitive situation of Ladakh resulting in outburst of protests in the mountainous region.
Credible sources said that some groups in Leh had raised demand for a sixth schedule on the very first day after erstwhile J&K was bifurcated into two Union Territories (UT) but those looking affairs of BJP took the things lightly. Instead of taking senior leaders of Leh into confidence, BJP leaders behaved arrogantly which led to formation of United Front comprising all parties.
Credible sources said it was all due to the non-serious attitude of the BJP leaders that Congress has managed to play its role in Leh by convincing all groups to boycott forthcoming elections of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh.

Kishtwar, Sept 27: Contrary to the tall claims made by the government with regards to availability of beds with oxygen supply in various hospitals of the Union Territory, the oxygen supply plant at District Hospital Kishtwar is defunct due to shortage of the staff to run the unit.
According to the details available with Early Times, the oxygen level plant was installed at District Hospital Kishtwar few months ago and is yet to be made operational due to some technical issues as well as the shortage of funds.

REASI, Sept 25: The Department of Agriculture has played a cruel joke with the farmers of this district since a solitary tractor has been provided to the farmers under a centrally sponsored scheme. Under the scheme tractors are provided on subsidy to the farmers so as to improve production.
Sources told Early Times that farmers of 12 zones of Reasi district were disappointed after they came to know that just one tractor has been provided by the department and that too on half-hearted basis. ANANTNAG, Sept 27: The construction work on Rehmat-I-Alam Hospital, which Jammu and Kashmir Government took over from a local trust in South Kashmir’s Anantnag in 2017, is expected to face again inordinate delay in its completion.
According to JKPCC officials, the agency will not resume the interior construction work till they receive the safety audit from IIT Jammu.
They said the agency has released Rs. 21.30 Lakh in the month of March this year to ITT Jammu for carrying out the safety audit of two floors of the building that were constructed by the Rehmat-I-Alam Trust itself.
