Govt relaxes employment age limit for Ladakh youth, Dogras to wait

Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 27: Even as the government of Ladakh has recently decided to relax the age limit for entry into government service by two years, the youth from the nationalist Dogra community in Jammu are waiting for such respite. As per a recent directive, in Ladakh, which comprises of Leh and Kargil districts, the upper age limit for the reserved category candidates has been increased from 43 years to 45 years, for the general category candidates from 40 to 42 years and for the physically challenged candidates from 42 to 44 years. The Ladakh administration has also issued an order to temporarily define 'Resident of Union territory of Ladakh' for the purpose of appointment to all non-gazetted posts. But while similar appeals for age relaxation for government services have been time and again made by the youth of Jammu, who are actually known for their nationalist sentiment, the government is yet to take any decision. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Sept 27: The Government on Monday informed that 117 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 55 from Jammu division and 62 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 329125. Moreover, 118 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 14 from Jammu Division and 104 from Kashmir Division. Besides this, 82.62 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir. Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 27: The sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday raided the office of the Employees Provident Funds (EPFO) on several complaints of embezzlement in funds. We have received many complaints regarding embezzlement of funds during the lockdown and in the name of false claims, crores of funds have been looted, CBI sources said.
