Jammu, June 29: In a mysterious way of its functioning the Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation reinstated 23 employees, suspended for their unauthorized absence from duty. Sources in corporation informed Early Times, the Managing Director, JKSRTC going tough against unauthorized absence, suspended the erring officials, but mysteriously, keeping earlier order in abeyance, the MD reinstated all of them. "Including an Deputy General Manager, three Section Officers, seven Junior Assistant, four helpers including other officials were suspended on May 26", sources said, adding instead of proceeding further actions as per norms, the MD reinstated them. "23 officers have been found un-authorisedly absent from legitimate duties on May 26, 2016 and therefore are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect", order number JKSRTC/Admn/189, dated 26/5/2016 read. Sources further said that the as per rules showcause notice was not be served all suspended employees and an enquiry was also to be conducted into unauthorized mass absent. "But, working a like an autonomous institution the Managing Director modified his own order", they added. Sources said that it was very ambiguous that the MD himself found mass absent, and resigned his own order just few hours after earlier one. They further non seriousness of the government is responsible for sinking JKSRTC. "The corporation remained headlines for all bad reasons since long but unfortunately, government always ignored all wrong doing in the corporation", sources said and added that there several other unjustified case take place in the corporation all most on daily bases.
