Keeps his boss happy, wants friendly ties with Pak
Rana challenges Farooq's ideology

Early Times Report
Jammu, June 29: Former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah's Friday man, Devender Singh Rana has taken the bull by its horns by challenging the ideology of the National Conference patron Dr Farooq Abdullah, who has always advocated bombing of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) to finish terrorism once for all.
Rana on Tuesday practically challenged the policy and ideology of Dr Farooq Abdullah by lashing out at Bharatiya Janata Party for demanding that PoK should be bombed. He accused the BJP state leadership of indulging in jingoism for demanding surgical strikes against Pakistan.
Rana said, " War hysteria being generated by the BJP affects thousands of the people living along the border especially in the Jammu. It instigates Pakistan and it indulges in ceasefire violations on the borders."
Rana, forgot that former chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah had also not only advocated the same approach but had even gone to the extent of waging a full scale war against Pakistan. In 2001 Farooq Abdullah as a chief minister, had called on the Indian government to launch a full-scale military operation against terrorist training camps in Pakistan after 38 people killed in a terrorist attack outside the Assembly in Srinagar.
Dr Farooq Abdullah after the 9/11 bombing in US had asked the world to take more tough action against the countries acting as breeding ground for terrorists.
The NC leader seems to have forgotten also the remarks of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi with regard to the Pakistan. "Soldiers are free to act as per their will."
The PM Modi made it amply clear that security apparatus would be given a free hand to tackle terrorists who challenge the security of the nation.
Rana is acting like more "loyal than the king" and is toeing the line of his master Omar Abdullah, who has been advocating a dialogue with Pakistan.
The National Conference leaders , being 'groomed' by Omar Abdullah seem unaware about the policies and programmes of the Government of India, and they are trying to ensure that they don't contradict their boss (Omar Abdullah).
