Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 20: In order to intensify the market checking on the eve of ensuing Eid-ul-Azha, a checking squad headed by Mukhter Ahmed, Assistant Director (Enforcement), FCS&CA Department Jammu along with team of Inspectors Diwan Singh, Yogesh Kumar, Vishwamitra, Prithipal Singh, Raman Kumar visited Gujjar Nagar, Talab Khatikan, Residency Road, Bathindi, Sunjwan, Malik Market and checked business establishments of mutton, chicken, live sheep/goat sellers and other essential commodities. About 80 shops were checked and 10 erring shopkeepers were booked and a fine of Rs. 5500 was realized from them on spot for violating various rules of Essential Commodities Act 1955, LPG Control Order 2000 and non-display of rate list on their shops. The checking squad also inspected un-organized market of sacrificial Goat/Sheep. The traders of these markets were instructed to charge rates as fixed by the government. |
