Civil Defence organizes awareness programme

Jammu, Oct 22: One day awareness/demonstration programme held at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School R.S. Pura Jammu , which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu under the guidance of Muneer Ahmed Khan, IPS, Additional Director General of Police Homeguard/Civil Defence & SDRF J&K, Vikas Gupta, JKPS, SSP, Incharge DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu and close supervision of Dy.SP Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. In the awareness camp the students of higher Classes/staff were given the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Emergency methods of rescue, fire fighting along with demonstration by the Civil Defence Instructors. While speaking on the occasion, Dy.SP, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu highlighted the role of Civil Defence and also share her views regarding the importance of first Aid, Rescue Techniques, Do's and Don'ts during manmade/natural disaster. Janak Raj, Principal of the School and Staff highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence and thanked the staff and Instructors for organized an important awareness programme. At least 400 students of higher classes (boys) and staff attended the awareness programme. Paramjeet Kumar Chief Warden, Thakur Ranjit Singh, Dy. Chief Warden and R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Divisional Warden Civil Defence Jammu were also present on the occasion.
