Georgian Wrestler Heddo Wins Sunail (Akhnoor) Dangal Title

Katra, Oct 22: Georgian Wrestler Heddo clinched the "105th Annual Sunail (Akhnoor) Kesari Vishal Dangal Title" by defeating Wrestler Abdul Gani of Mallerkotla in Punjab in a very tough fight took Heddo five minutes to finish the top bout in the 20 minutes contest.
Gani was no match for this tough Georgian at village Sunail in Tehsil Akhnoor and District Jammu. The mega historic and famous one day wrestling event was organized by Sunail (Akhnoor) Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the supervision of Numberdar Tilak Raj, Ex- Sarpanch Surinder Singh and Vicky Sharma.
In all, 42 bouts were played in the one day long Dangal and Rs 5, 65,000/- has been incurred for the conduct of this Vishal Dangal.
Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and President Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra (Regd.) was the chief Guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes of Rs 5, 65,000/- among the winners and runner-up Wrestlers.
Social Activist Wrestling Promoter and Vice-President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Ram Paul Sharma Presided over the function. SP (Rural) Jammu Dushyant Sharma and Baba Chanchal were the Guests of honour. Sub Inspector Anil Kumar was also present on the occasion.
The first main bout (Ist malli) winner Heddo was cash awarded with Rs 90,000/- by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Tilak Raj and Surinder Singh while runner-up Wrestler Abdul Gani was cash awarded with Rs 60,000/- by Deep Raj, Man Mohan Chib (Lucky), Darshan Lal Sharma and Vicky Sharma.
2nd malli bout was won by Wrestler Parveen Bhola of Chand Roop Akhara Delhi who defeated Maana of Zirkapur (Chandigarh). Winner Parveen Bhola was cash awarded with Rs 51,000/- while runner-up Wrestler Maana got Rs 30,000/-. 3rd bout was won by Shoota Gani of Hossiarpur who defeated Sunil of Zirakpur (Chandigarh).
Members and Technical officals who helped for conduct of this one day Dangal included Numberdar Tilak Raj, Man Mohan Singh Chib (Lucky), Darshan Lal Sharma, Vicky Sharma, Naveen Bakshi, Rakesh Sharma, Gola Sharma, Daleep Kumar, Surinder Singh (Ex. Sarpanch), Joginder Lal Sharma, Parshant Sagar, Arjun Kumar, Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Sat Paul Verma, Ashok Dhaka, Ram Paul Sharma, Deep Raj and Murli Dhar (Munna).
