| Revenue Deptt official managing transfers for graft | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Oct 22: A revenue department official with intentions of earning illegal money in the form of graft is managing transfers to prize postings. The Girdawar was posted in Sangor on August 2014 but he used his political influence to manage his transfer to sq (Sadar quanango) section within six months.
After this he was transferred to DC Office Jammu in the year 2016 but again he managed his posting again at sq section. He was now promoted as Naib Tehsildar but again he managed his posting at DC office.
After this he was posted as Naib Tehsildar Mahore but he retained himself at DC office.
According to rules Naib Tehsildar level officer is not supposed to work as a (Sadar quanango ) in SQ centre and this work is being done by Girdawar.
Sources informed that this officer is staying at DC Office in sq centre Udhampur approximately for the last four year.
Sources further said that this official is managing transfers due to link with higher authorties.
Sources further informed and alleged that this official also dands 5-10 % every file from farmers for their claims for land occupied by road project cases. |
