Linemen & Workers Union holds meet, projects demands

JAMMU, Oct 22: All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union held a meeting under the leadership of its Chairman Vijay Kumar Gupta, which was attended by all the executive body working members.
While speaking, Gupta demanded implementation of SRO 381, safety tools and uniforms to field staff, exgratia relief of Rs 10 lakhs to those who died while performing their duties and release of minutes of meeting held by the Superintending Engineer, Circle-I of Electric M&RE Jammu with regard to holding of DPC.
The members of the Union appealed to the PDD Minister and Commissioner Secretary PDD to look into the issues and settle the same at the earliest.
Among others, who spoke were Suresh Antal, President, J&K, Tara Chand, President Jammu Province, Anil Singh, Senior Vice President, Girdhari Lal, General Secretary, Kartar Nath, Advisor, Ashiq Hussain, Vice President, Pawan Kumar, Chief Organizer, Narinder Singh, Cashier, Ravinder Kumar, Vijay Sharma, Mangat Ram and Kewal Krishan.
