Jammu, Jan 15: The ongoing agitation of All J&K Daily Wagers/Casual Labourers of Irrigation & Flood Control (FC) and RTIC Jammu being held in the premises of Irrigation Complex, Jammu has entered into 29th day today.
The agitating employees are demanding regularization of all daily wagers which include casual labourers, need based workers and land owners, release of long pending wages for more than last 60 months.
The employees staged a protest dharna under the leadership of Amarjit Singh, Kamal Verma, Shashi Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Arjun Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Lai Dass and others. 45
The protesters said that the 30 days have passed but still there is no hope of any progress from the government side which is unacceptable. We will continue to protest till our demands are not fulfilled. |
