| Elected sarpanches call on AD food | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 15: Newly elected Sarpanches of Panchayat Poochal A and Poochal B today called on Assistant Director CAPD Abdul Rashid and discussed range of issues pertained to their respective panchayats.
The delegation was headed by Sarpanch Shubash Chander and Liaqat Hussain Sheikh (Jugnu). Both demanded immediate release of kerosene oil and BPL ration in favour of ration card holders, beside also demanded that their is immediate need for revisiting of BPL ration cards which should be issued in favour of those who are deserving for this.
They said that BPL ration card holders had yet to receive ration and Sugar.
The called for release of ration on monthly in all Government run sale depots. They urged upon the AD CAPD to inform the Sarpanches about the dispatchment of ration and Kerosene Oil in Panchayats so that they could inform the people and also calls for display of each and every K Oil Shop in the area.
AD CAPD listened the demands and assured to address them on priority. He also called for cordial relationship between the officials of the department and newly elected Sarpanches so that public grievances could be addressed in time bound manner. |
