Police distributed books, competition study material to needy students

UDHAMPUR, May 24: In order to assist the needy children of Udhampur and its surrounding areas for accelerating in their studies and in preparing for Competitive examinations, Police distributed books to the needy students of Government Higher Secondary School Chenani, Udhampur under Civic Action Program of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Rajinder Kumar Katoch, Addl. SP Udhampur distrributed the books to needy children in the presence of Insp. Paramjeet Singh SHO PS Chenani Principal Satya Chaudhary Lecturers, Teachers, School students and prominent citizens of Chenani. In addition to academic study books, study Material for Competitive exams was also distributed to the needy students of Govt. Higher Secondary School Chenani to assist them in preparing for competitive examinations.
Addl. SP, Udhampur , while speaking on the occasion, laid emphasis on the importance of education and competitive spirit in the life of a human being and especially students. He encouraged the students to work hard with great zeal and dedication to achieve desirous goals. He also laid emphasised on maintaining a balance between academic studies as well as sports activities which will keep them physically and mentally fit to meet any future challenges.
He appreciated the Principal and staff of School for extending cooperation in organizing the event and assured them that similar endeavors of Udhampur police towards community policing would continue in future as well. Students, Principal and prominent citizens of Chenani area highly appreciated such initiatives of Udhampur Police towards community policing in addition to their routine duties.
