Motor vehicles lifter gang busted ; property worth lakhs recovered; three arrested

Akhnoor, Apr 29: J&K police in Akhnoor sub-division of Jammu District have busted a motor vehicles lifter gang today under operation Avatar . On 22/04/2024 a complaint was lodged in police station Akhnoor by complainant Ram Dass S/o Lal Chand with regard to theft of his splender motorcycle and accordingly case FIR no 70/2024 under section 379 IPC was registered at police station Akhnoor and investigation taken up.
During investigation a special team of police was constituted by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma.The special team collected dump data for technical analysis, collected CCTV footage and also studied pattern of few suspects. After obtaining certain leads three suspects namely
1) Amit pawa@ Sundi s/o Ashok kumar
2) Rakesh choudary @ Nathu s/o Bagh singh
3) Sunny kumar @ Sunny pagal s/o Yash pal all residents of Devipur Jourian, jammu were arrested for questioning and during interrogation all the three accuseds have confessed their involvement in instant case.
On the disclosure of accuseds stolen motorcycle has been recovered by special team consisting of SHO Akhnoor Tariq Ahmed, Chowki officer Jourian sanjeet singh , chowki officer Chowki Choura Pankaj Katoch & PSI Karnail Singh. Besides five more motorcycles of different makes total six have been recovered from different locations of district jammu on the disclosures of arrested accuseds. Another case FIR no.31/2023 under section IPC of police station Akhnoor has also been solved .
In addition to this some more recoveries including :
Gas cylinders-2
Mattresses-2
Containers-2
Transformer-1
Gas chullaah-1.
The approximately value of recoveries is more than 7 lakhs. All arrests and recoveries have made by police teams under supervision of SP Rural Brijesh Sharma.
Since the investigation is under way more arrests and recoveries are expected.
