District Jammu hosts Inter-School Karate, Judo Competition

JAMMU, May 7: Today, on 7th May 2024, the Department of Youth Services and Sports of District Jammu orchestrated an exhilarating Inter-School District Level Competition in the disciplines of Karate and Judo for boys under the age groups of U-14 and U-17. The event took place at MA Stadium Jammu and Youth Hostel Nagrota, attracting around 200 players from various districts of Jammu.
Under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports JK UT, Sh. Subhash Chander Chibber (JKAS), and the guidance of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Ved Parkash (JKAS), the competition aimed to identify and select the most promising talents for future competitions.
The competition witnessed the active involvement of officials from District Jammu, including Jatinder Kumar, Nitin Sharma, Mukta Gupta, Sunil Abrol, and Ravinder Singh, ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
In the Karate category, the results for U-17 and U-14 boys are as follows:

Below 40 kg:

Below 45 kg:
