Dr Darakhshan Andrabi Advocates for Peace, Morality at Imam Conference

JAMMU, May 8: Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, took center stage at the Inam Conference held at the Shrine Complex of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (RA) during her tour to Rajouri. Emphasizing the pivotal role of religious preachers in society, Dr. Andrabi highlighted the importance of propagating peace, inclusivity, and morality.
In her address, Dr. Andrabi underscored the responsibility of religious preachers in raising awareness about Sufi teachings among the youth. She emphasized the need to combat divisive ideologies, drug abuse, violence, and hatred by continuously educating the younger generation. Dr. Andrabi emphasized that embracing doctrines of inclusiveness, nationalism, humanity, and Sufi spiritual thoughts is crucial for fostering a peaceful and progressive future.
The Imam Conference witnessed the participation of prominent religious leaders from the district, who echoed Dr. Andrabi's sentiments for peace and inclusivity. The event concluded with prayers for the peace, prosperity, and happiness of all.
Dr. Andrabi's initiative was further highlighted by her introduction of the smart machinery initiative of the Waqf Board at the renowned Sufi shrine of Shahdara Sharief. Additionally, she engaged with various public delegations, including representatives from the Pahari Community and Gujjar & Bakerwal Welfare Forum, showcasing her commitment to grassroots engagement.
Accompanied by Waqf Board officials and Administrator for Rajouri Abdul Qayoom Mir, Dr. Andrabi's efforts aimed to promote harmony and moral values, reflecting a broader commitment to fostering a cohesive and prosperous society.
